"You go home now. You been here 4 hours!!!!"
So my parents want to have dinner together last night, and they felt like eating some crab legs, so we went to Fuji Buffet in Madison Heights, MI. I've been to this particular buffet many times, so there were no surprises and I knew exactly what to expect.
I always start with sushi, maybe because it makes me feel like I'm getting my $20 worth, plus it never fills me up. Sushi there is okay, not the worst I've tasted and definitely not the best, but not bad. Next I moved to the crab legs...and for the first time, they were really salty. It was a Friday and the place was pretty busy. Now I wanted to complain, but what are they gonna do, make me a special batch of crab legs??? If I owned a buffet, I'd be like, hey, pick another food. (Genius1:can't really complain)
Though the crab legs weren't to my standard of good, I continued to finish the plateful that I grabbed. Then I looked around @ the selection of food and came to the realization that this food really doesn't taste that great. It's mass prepared, and has been sitting around for a little. If you took this food, took it to a restaurant where you'd pay per dish, you'd probably never go back to the place. But the fact that it's all you can eat, you feel satisfied because you are full off of mediocre food. (Genius2:food is ready right away) (Genius3:food doesn't have to be spectacular because everyone is full off quantity not quality).
So I guess the point I'm trying to make is, I continue to go back to a buffet because the food is okay, but will always be full because it's all you can eat, therefore feeling satisfied.
I think the quality of Fuji Buffet has fallen off... I hope it was just for one night, because if the food sucks the next time I go, I predict that place will fall off and the next buffet will open soon, nearby too.
